Valley In Motion

Founded in 2008, Valley In Motion strengthens sense of community across the Lackawanna Valley by creating places and events that build community connection and engagement. We connect community and public organizations to build quality of life in our communities.  

VIM means enthusiasm, vitality, an energetic spirit. For NEPA Gives this year, we are raising funds for three signature projects:

• Community Schoolyards; student-designed playgrounds constructed for Scranton schools
• South Scranton Connector Trail; creating hiking and mountain biking paths connecting Connell Park to thousands of public land in Pinchot State Forest
• Forest City Murals; creating murals in Forest City sparking joy among residents and drawing up visitors from the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail
