Animal Care Associates (ACA) is a not-for-profit organization comprised entirely of volunteers with varying levels of expertise and experience who share a common goal to protect, help and care for animals in need. ACA has served the community for more than 25 years.  We provide a safe haven for all of our animals while they await adoption.  Our no-kill policy allows each animal as much time as they need to find the right home or, if placement is not possible, we provide them with a permanent home.  The foster home environment allows us to observe each animal's behavior, amongst other animals and people, so that we can help prospective adopters choose a pet that will best fit their family and lifestyle.  Because many of our animals were abandoned or are strays, we spend as much time as we can with each one so that they become accustomed to being around people and other pets; to be pet, held and loved.

We provide needed medical care and treatment including vaccinations, spay/neuter services, deworming, flea treatment, proper nutrition, grooming, transportation and even surgery, if necessary.

Volunteers clean and care for the cats at the adoption center inside the Dickson City, PA, PetSmart. We coordinate all fundraising efforts and all aspects of animal care.  If you are interested in joining our efforts, we are always looking to grow our volunteer family.  We would love to talk with you about our passion!
