Mary Marrara Fundraiser for Meals on Wheels

Serving as a Board Member for Meals on Wheels of NEPA has given me a firsthand look at the meaningful impact this organization has on older adults, individuals with disabilities, and other vulnerable community members throughout Lackawanna, Luzerne, Wyoming, Monroe, Pike, and Wayne Counties. While nutritious meals are an essential part of our mission, what we truly deliver each day is connection, compassion, and reassurance. For many of the people we serve, a Meals on Wheels visit may be one of the only personal interactions they have that day — a friendly face, a wellness check, and a reminder that their community cares about them. These moments help individuals remain safe, independent, and connected while continuing to live in the comfort of their own homes. 

During NEPA Gives this June, I hope you’ll join me in supporting Meals on Wheels of NEPA so we can continue providing nourishment, care, and meaningful human connection to neighbors across our region.
