We, the Catholic community of the Diocese of Scranton, are called through Baptism to imitate the servant leadership of Jesus Christ. In union with our Holy Father, the Pope, we proclaim the Gospel faithfully, celebrate the sacraments joyfully, and boldly promote life, justice and peace in northeastern and north central Pennsylvania.

The Catholic Community of the Diocese of Scranton spans 11 counties and consists of 110 parishes and 19 Catholic schools. Additionally, we serve the people of God through multiple food kitchens, food pantries, homeless shelters, and housing facilities as well as the Catholic Youth Center in Wilkes-Barre, the St. Vincent de Paul Kitchen in Wilkes-Barre, the St. Joseph Food Pantry in Hazleton, St. Francis Kitchen in Scranton and Catholic Social Services.

Our NEPA Gives 2026 campaign theme focuses on our universal call to sainthood and honors the church's first millennial saint, St. Carlo Acutis, a young person who used the 15 short years he was given on earth to spread the Gospel and promote love of the Eucharist by digital means. In tribute to this young and beloved saint, our DIGITAL DISCIPLES will rally around our causes using modern technology to take up our continuing biblical call to ROUSE ONE ANOTHER TO LOVE AND GOOD WORKS. St. Carlo Acutis, during his brief life, also had a special love for soccer, so our theme also honors his special passion as soccer fans across our fractured world eagerly anticipate the upcoming FIFA WORLD CUP 2026!

We are so honored and humbled to have supportive, generous friends from every corner of our own diocese as well as across our great United States and from several other countries! We're challenging our digital disciples in this friendly competition to rally friends both near and far as they ask for support. To that end, we are making things a little more exciting - in honor of the World Cup and the ripples it creates across the world - by offering bonus incentives that recognize our digital disciples' local, national, and international outreach efforts.

Making a gift by using the DONATE key on any of the tiled cause pages will automatically designate your gift to a school or to our scholarship fund for families who otherwise could not afford Catholic education.
