Because of caring neighbors like you, SHINE students feel supported, encouraged, and ready to learn every day.
SHINE is more than an after-school program—it’s life-changing. Thanks to your support, 90% of our students improve socially and emotionally, 83% improve in reading, and 71% improve in math. Families see that progress every week.
But for many of the children we serve, success starts with something simple: a healthy meal. Nearly 9 out of 10 SHINE students live below the poverty line, and the meal they receive here is often their most reliable source of nutrition.
This program serves over 300 students each year, and we want every child to know they will be fed, supported, and cared for.
