Love for Zoe and Luna

Our love for boxers started with Zoe, our very first “child.” While she wasn’t a rescue, she shaped our family in every way possible. Zoe was there through so many of life’s biggest moments — including the birth of each of our three children — and they grew up right alongside her. She was patient, loyal, loving, and truly the heart of our home.

Because of Zoe, Clay and I fell deeply in love with the boxer breed. While living in Philadelphia, we became foster parents for several rescue boxers through Adopt a Boxer Rescue, wanting to help other dogs find the same love and security Zoe gave our family every day.

After losing Zoe, our hearts eventually led us to Luna, our rescued boxer, who reminded us again of the resilience, joy, and unconditional love these dogs bring into our lives. We only had a little over seven years with Luna, but those seven years were full of love, laughter, companionship, and unforgettable memories. She further solidified what we already knew — there is something incredibly special about this breed and the love they give so freely.
