First Responders Fund

The intent is to create an endowment to fund grant applications from volunteer "first responder" organizations within Wayne County. This group will be primarily comprised of volunteer fire companies and ambulance corps organizations. Such grants will be to support specific projects of these entities and shall not be used to fund regular administrative budgets. Preference will be given to projects that provide a community (county)-wide benefit, such as shared resources available to all "First Responder" individuals/organizations.  There shall be an annual distribution of $4K or 4% of the Funds' Balance (as of June 30th) whichever is greater.  To support projects of "substantial" merit, funds may be drawn from principal, over-and-above, the regular annual distributions.
