As part of the broader NEPA Gives, Scranton Fringe is launching this micro-campaign dedicated entirely to sustaining LGBTQ+ arts programming in Northeast PA. This initiative will directly subsidize venue rentals, production costs, and artist stipends for boundary-pushing queer theatrical works, cabaret shows, and the region's celebrated annual Big Gay StorySlam: Celebration of LGBTQ+ Voices (returning for 2026 Pride Month, June 20th).
Why Your Support Matters
Scranton Fringe strives to create safe, welcoming spaces in NEPA where marginalized voices can be heard. Scranton Fringe Festival is creating space for bold, unique creatives. Despite the richness of the local queer arts community, LGBTQ+ creators often face disproportionate financial barriers, censorship, and a lack of institutional backing. Your support helps:
- Empower Creators: Pay fair wages to LGBTQ+ directors, actors, writers, and drag performers.
- Keep Events Accessible: Subsidize ticket prices and ensure community events remain financially open to all.
- Celebrate Queer Voices: Expand our seasonal offerings (like the Big Gay StorySlam) and provide a year-round platform for bold, authentic queer arts programming.
