Close To Our Hearts: Adopt a Boxer Rescue

Our family learned about AABR in 2008 when our daughter Ashley volunteered as a home visitor. Since then we were blessed to rescue 3 beloved Boxers: Sargent Pepper in 2010 (f.k.a. Baxter), Trapper John (pictured) in 2016 (f.k.a. Rocco) and Lady Ariel in 2024 (f.k.a. Violet). AABR is a fully volunteer organization whose members work 24/7 to rescue, foster, vet and match waiting dogs (sometimes not even the Boxer breed but a dog that needs rescue) with deserving families. There is a saying that says 'Rescue saves lives". We believe we were the ones who were saved every time we rescued our new family member from AABR. The NEPA Gives project is only 24 hours long! No donation is too small! Veterinary bills are staggering! All dogs are fully vetted (examined, vaccinated, tested for heartworm and other diseases, spay/neutered, and receive other medical care as necessary which can cost thousands of dollars for a dog that is ill) prior to adoption.
