Olive's Wish for AABR

Dear Friends, 

Olive and Mother here... 

Truth be told, we thought we were fundraising for a zillion new squeaks from the Smile truck, until Mother set us straight.  She said that the next 24 hours are for raising money to support Adopt a Boxer Rescue.  It's NEPA Gives time and we are ALL IN!!  Are you with us? 

In case you don't already know, Adopt a Boxer Rescue is where me and Yen were adopted from.  Without them, there were would be no us.  This fundraising event is a spectacular way to give back and thank them for saving us and countless other dogs.  

Adopt a Boxer Rescue does amazing and endless work to rescue boxers and dogs who think they are boxers (Leonard).  There are mill moms and dads who were forced to breed, over and over again until their bodies grew too tired, like my dog mom was.  There are boxers who are starved and left to die.  There are dogs who have lived years never feeling love, or going to Dunks, or syeeping in a struggle bus.  AABR is always there to pick up the pieces of their broken souls.  They don't say no.  They don't look the other way. 

Rescue comes with a very heavy price tag. Vet bills are never ending.  Spays, neuters, heartworm treatment, surgeries to repair the damage left behind by neglect,  medications, and boarding for dogs who must wait for foster homes to open up, are only some of the overwhelming costs.   And the dogs keep coming. There is no catching up.  There is only trying not to drown. 

If you follow our page, you would know that our mom, our warden, our dunks mobile driver, has a heart for the rescue dogs.  Kobe, Sophie, Wrigley, Bauer, Murph, Franklin, Me, and Len... we were saved because someone cared.  We were given a chance to know love and feel compassion, because someone said we mattered.  Adopt a Boxer is the reason that you all get to see our pictures and videos everyday.  They brought us and Mother together... 

We are asking all of our followers to help us give back to the rescue that holds a special place in Mother's heart, so that they can continue to help other dogs just like us.  There are thousands of Bauers, Olives, and Lennys, out there, still waiting for their happily ever afters.  

I don't like to brag (yes I do)... But last year, we raised an epic amount of money for the rescue.  Like, I wanted to borrow some for my Smile truck orders and Mother said "absolutely not".  This year, I'm feeling like we can do more.  We can beat our goal and AABR can save 100 more Olives and maybe 1 Lenny because he's a terrorist.  

Me and Yen and B love to make you smile.  This is your chance to make us smile by giving back to the rescue that saved us.  No amount is too small. And please know, if you're not able to donate, there are other ways to help... foster, adopt, volunteer for a rescue or shelter near and dear to your heart.  

Let's put as much energy into raising money over the next 24 hours, as me and Yen put into running laps in the yard!  If you know, you know.
