Carbon County Kid Zone Fund

The Carbon County Kid Zone Fund supports the operations and programs of Kid Zone, a community effort to identify and prevent injuries to children in Carbon County and surrounding areas, with emphasis on children ages 16 and under.

Kid Zone, a committee under the Carbon Collaborative, organizes activities that build community awareness, education, and public policy around childhood safety.  The committee works to build partnerships with agencies, law enforcement, and community individuals and groups to educate and prevent childhood injuries.  Activities in the community may include, education, car seat checks, promoting law enforcement, and promoting engineering solutions to advance child safety.  A flagship event organized by this committee is Community Safety Day held every year in May.  Distributions from the Carbon County Kid Zone Fund will support these programs and activities.

The Carbon County Kid Zone Fund is a charitable fund under the umbrella of the Carbon County Community Foundation.
