Beau's Pack Gives Back

🐾 Hi friends and lovers. It's Beau. 🐾

Three years ago, my life changed forever.

I was sitting in NYCACC, a crowded city shelter, on a euthanasia list waiting for someone to believe I was worth saving. Thanks to Adopt a Boxer Rescue, that someone did.

My humans call me their DreamBeau (sigh). The forever foodie. The side-prancing, ball-obsessed (we're talking borderline personality disorder) goofball who still can't believe he got this lucky. Three years of breathless air kisses (IYKYK), testing the structural integrity of kitchen counters, supervising all snack prep, and making sure my people never experience a moment of personal space. Three years of waking up every day and remembering  - oh right, I'm HOME.

Now, I wasn't scared of everything when I got here - let's not be dramatic - but it did take me a full 14 months to really exhale and trust that the hands reaching for me were only ever going to be gentle ones and to believe this was real and nobody was taking it away. And here's what I've learned.......love is safe, that a soft bed means I get to keep it and when my people says "Beau, come here," I get so excited my body explodes in wiggles.

But there are SO many dogs still waiting for their turn to be saved, dogs who deserve a couch and a banana and a person who calls them baby. They just need someone to believe in them long enough to get them to the other side. 

For so many, that "someone" is Adopt a Boxer Rescue. The volunteer angels at AABR saw me and saved me ....and they are doing it again today, and tomorrow, and the day after that - for the next Beau, and the one after him, and the one after her.

So here's my ask, from one big boxer heart to yours: help them keep going. Every dollar buys a vet visit, a transport ride, a collar, leash and blanket to call their own.... a second chance.
