Providing humanitarian relief (medical supplies and equipment) to hospitals in Ukraine

$850

raised by 3 people

$25,000 goal

The world looked on in disbelief on February 24, 2022 when Russia forces invaded eastern Ukraine in an unprovoked, brutal assault.  Initial reports showed real horrors as Russian soldiers committed atrocities and war crimes against citizens.  This brutal, unprovoked invasion and the inspired, brave response of the Ukrainian people sicken many.

Father Myron Myronuk, a priest in Scranton Pennsylvania acted.  Father Myron mobilized a volunteer network and begin to collect supplies. He partnered with local and regional Ukrainians and concerned citizens to get much needed medical supplies to Ukraine.  His valent efforts were noticed and he was profiled in the New York times for his tireless commitment to support a free Ukraine.

In September 2024, local Rotary clubs assisted Father Myron as his efforts continued as the war continued.  A traditional Ukrainian dinner, including entertainment, speakers and guests of wounded Ukrainian soldiers in the United States to be fitted for prosthetics.  The dinner along with generous donations from sponsors raised over $50,000.   Connecting with a wonderful relief organization, Supplies Over Seas (SOS) in Louisville, KY and St. Luke's Episcopal Church of Anchorage, KY, made it possible stretch these donations significantly.  By working with SOS, we greatly leverage the impact of funds raised – every $1 raised translated into $15 to $20s in medical equipment and supplies!

So far, our fundraising efforts have provided over $700,000 in medical supplies, equipment and 6 ambulances.  In total aid provided, we are approaching $1 million.

But the war rages on and the Ukrainian people need our help.  Every day Russian drones and missiles rain down on Ukrainian cities and civilians.

Please support our efforts to bring medical supplies, medical equipment and ambulances to Ukraine.  Help us help these brave people in their fight for freedom and independence.
