The NEPA Animal Welfare Collaborative was created by the Scranton Area Community Foundation to bring local animal welfare organizations and community advocates together with a shared goal: improving the lives of animals and the people who care for them throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. By working together, our partners are able to collaborate with resources, strengthen community support, and focus on solutions that make a real difference for animals in need.

One of the most effective ways to reduce animal suffering is through spay and neuter services. When pets are spayed or neutered, it prevents unwanted litters before they happen, reduces the number of animals entering shelters, and helps pets live longer, healthier lives. Unfortunately, the rising cost of these procedures can be a barrier for many families and caregivers who want to do the right thing for their animals.

That’s why the NEPA Animal Welfare Collaborative is raising funds during NEPA Gives to provide spay and neuter vouchers for pets in our community. These vouchers help make veterinary care more accessible, allowing pet owners to protect their animals while also helping prevent pet overpopulation across our region.

Your support will help provide these vouchers to families and caregivers who need them most. By donating, you are helping prevent unwanted litters, reducing the number of animals entering shelters, and giving pets a better chance at healthy, safe lives.

Together, we can make a lasting impact for animals in Northeastern Pennsylvania and build a more compassionate community for the pets who depend on us. Every contribution helps move us closer to a future where fewer animals suffer and more pets are able to stay safe, healthy, and loved.
