Cultural programming includes the fields of music, theater, visual arts, crafts, media arts, folk arts, the humanities, multidisciplinary arts, nature, science, health and wellness. Every effort is made to ensure that classes and programs are accessible to all members of the community. Last fiscal year over 54,000 children and adults benefit from 350 movies, classes and events at the theater. Patrons range in age from the very young to senior citizens including many who are underprivileged. According to the Future Ready PA index, 80% of the students in the Tunkhannock Area School District are classified as Economically Disadvantaged. The cultural and educational opportunities made available at the theater offer learning experiences otherwise inaccessible to the residents of Wyoming County and surrounding communities. Programming is offered for free or for a nominal cost and need-based scholarships are advertised and made available for educational programming, no questions asked. Please help the Wyoming County Cultural Center at the Dietrich Theater celebrate its 24th anniversary by showing your support.
