The Greenhouse Project - Where Plants Grow People and Community.

The Greenhouse Project empowers all ages to build healthier, resilient lives through education, movement, nature, and food. We cultivate self-reliance by teaching practical skills in gardening, cooking, wellness, and nutrition.

By connecting personal well-being to food choices, our hands-on programs expand fresh food access, reduce hunger, and prevent disease. We champion a sustainable ecosystem that unites human health with environmental stewardship.

We operate a 3,000-square-foot greenhouse in Nay Aug Park and manage two thriving community gardens. These spaces provide hands-on horticultural education, increase access to fresh food, and support our mission through plant propagation and sales with volunteers in training.

Who We Are

The Greenhouse Project is a local non-profit transforming community health through education, sustainable food, and active living. We connect individuals to nature and wellness through multi-generational programming. Our offerings span organic gardening, arts, cooking, fitness, and outdoor activities like kayaking and hiking as well as hosting school field trips.

By cultivating self-reliance and environmental stewardship, we actively support local food systems while providing critical disease prevention resources. Operating our 3,000-square-foot greenhouse in Nay Aug Park alongside two community gardens, we increase fresh food access, grow organic plants, and foster life-long well-being and learning.

We encourage and teach people to grow their own food and make conscious choices for lifelong health and well-being. Healthy people grow healthy communities!  Thank you for your support of The Greenhouse Project. We grow community and connections.
