Your giving turns possibility into progress. Sights for Hope is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people maximize their potential with the eyesight they have. We help people with vision loss improve their capabilities, we equip children to start kindergarten ready to learn, and we promote healthy eyesight in our communities. We have provided these programs and services at little or no cost in Monroe County since 2003. All funds raised from the NEPA Gives 24-Hour Campaign will support our programs and services for Monroe County residents.

What We Do

•    Strengthen Skills: We strengthen skills that help people with blindness and visual impairments take control of their lives and encourage children to take control of their eye health. Our clients learn that there is little they cannot accomplish if they approach tasks differently and children learn to be confident in how they see the world.

•    Deliver Supports: We deliver supports that enable people with vision loss to access essential resources, pursue opportunities, and strengthen their personal wellbeing. Our dedicated professionals understand the specific needs of people with blindness and visual impairments and how to help them lead brighter lives.

•    Champion Solutions: We champion solutions that remove limits to human potential and confidence at every stage of life. Our specialists source assistive devices that expand the adaptive abilities of people with vision loss. Our pre-kindergarten vision screenings and community partnerships help children start school with proper eye care and a foundation for stronger reading skills.
