Monroe County Meals on Wheels

Monroe County Meals on Wheels is proud to be celebrating our 54th year of providing superior nutritional support, a human connection, and other supportive services to the homebound so they may remain safe and independent in their homes. Since our inception in 1972, we have delivered over 2.8 million meals to seniors and adults with disabilities in Monroe County, more than 111,000 in 2025 alone. 

Though the core of our program is nutritious meals, we have worked to expand our services to be far more than a meal, and we are proud to be able to offer our clients assistance with pet food and pet care, quarterly delivery of critical household essentials, opportunities for social connection, birthday and holiday gifts, and so much more. 

Currently, over 200 dedicated volunteers ensure that deliveries arrive at our clients' homes with a friendly smile. With each delivery, they bring more than just meals. They bring a moment of connection, a bright spot for clients who often don’t see or talk to anyone else that day. One client truly captured this sentiment when they told us, “You make me feel important! You make me feel like I matter.”
