The Greater Wyoming Valley Area YMCA is a community-focused organization dedicated to service. With seven branches currently operating throughout Luzerne County, we offer diverse programs promoting healthy living and community strength. Our branches include the Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA, Greater Pittston YMCA, YMCA Camp Kresge, Charlotte L. Casterline YMCA Early Learning Center, the Mericle Family Center for Early Education, the child care site at Bear Creek Community Charter School and the Greater Hazleton Y childcare center.
Our YMCA has had a presence here for over 160 years, and we can see the incredible impact it has had on the lives of so many individuals and families. Through its programs and services, the YMCA has helped children with working parents find a safe and nurturing environment, provided food assistance to families struggling to make ends meet, offered outdoor education and water safety instruction to kids who might not have had access to these experiences otherwise, and helped seniors with chronic disease prevention.
None of this would be possible without the generous support of donors who share the YMCA's commitment to building a healthier, happier, and more connected community. The YMCA is grateful for the support of its donors and recognizes that without them, it would not be able to provide the critical services and programs that so many rely on.
The Y. For a better us.
