The Institute

The Institute was founded on the belief that good data drives good decisions. Since 2004, our mission has been to serve organizations and communities by providing empirical, objective research that drives discussion and informs action. This research enables community leaders from the public, private, and non-profit sectors to gain insight on recent trends, new opportunities, and potential challenges in order to develop effective planning and initiatives to improve quality of life and standard of living across NEPA.

The Institute supports Northeast Pennsylvania community through a variety of community based research:

Your donation will help The Institute share more data with our community leaders and provide a solid foundation of research as they work to improve our region. Your gift also supports internships for students from our 13 local higher education partners, where they learn research methods and conduct primary and secondary research to assist Institute staff in preparation of the research.

If The Institute raises $1,000 during NEPA Gives, The Moses Taylor Foundation will generously donate another $1,000 to us. Please help us meet that goal!
