Sights for Hope

Your giving puts hope in sight. Sights for Hope transforms the lives of people with visual impairments in Pennsylvania’s Monroe County and Lehigh Valley by removing the barriers to their independence and success. We blend a service tradition inspired directly by Helen Keller in 1928 with contemporary practices to provide people with visual impairments the skills, supports, and solutions that advance their self-sufficiency. Our services include life skills education, specialized technologies, individualized support services, free vision screenings for children, and community education programs and are provided at little or no cost. Who We Are

Sights for Hope empowers people with visual impairments to achieve their greatest independence and opportunity and champions healthy eyesight throughout its communities. With operations in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley and Monroe County, we combine a service tradition motivated by Helen Keller in 1928 with contemporary practices and advanced technologies.

Our services for people with visual impairments promote the accomplishment of daily tasks, increased access to medical services and food supplies, enhanced personal wellness, and extended self-sufficiency. Our free vision screenings for children stimulate success in school and our community education programs advocate for eye health and safety. We provide all our services at little or no cost.

Sights for Hope is an independent member of the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind (PAB) that is accredited nationally by the Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (AER) and affiliated with the VisionServe Alliance, a network of North American agencies that serve people with visual impairments.
