This NEPA Gives, we’re expanding the accessible technology ecosystem within our Vision Resource Center.

What began as a kitchen-focused initiative has grown into a broader effort to create a fully connected, voice-activated learning environment where individuals with vision loss can explore, train, and build confidence using adaptive technology that supports greater independence in everyday life.

From voice-activated kitchen tools and smart home devices to talking technology, adaptive lighting, medication reminders, and daily living aids, these resources allow individuals to try real-world products firsthand and discover what best meets their unique vision needs.

For many people living with vision loss, technology can be life-changing—but it can also feel overwhelming and financially out of reach. Our Vision Resource Center provides a welcoming, hands-on space where clients and families can receive demonstrations, personalized guidance, and training before investing in technology for their homes.

Who We Are

For more than 100 years, Northeast Sight Services has helped individuals who are blind or visually impaired live more independently, confidently, and connected to their communities throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. Through compassionate services, assistive technology, rehabilitation support, children’s programming, and prevention of blindness initiatives, we help people of all ages adapt to vision loss and maintain the best possible quality of life.
