Dalton Community Library

The Dalton Community Library was founded by the
Dalton Women’s Club in 1948 and in 1983 joined the Lackawanna County Library
System, including the libraries of Abington, Carbondale, North Pocono, Scranton,
Taylor, and Valley. For more than 70 years, the Dalton Community Library has proudly served
the people of Dalton and surrounding communities. Computer automation has
allowed for greatly expanded circulation and inter-library loan systems as well as for
