The Children's House Child Advocacy Center

The Children’s House Child Advocacy Center is the only agency of its kind serving Bradford and Sullivan Counties, providing a safe, child-centered response to allegations of abuse. When a child discloses abuse, families often enter one of the most overwhelming moments of their lives. Our role is to reduce trauma, eliminate confusion, and ensure children are surrounded by coordinated, compassionate professionals from the very beginning.

Through a multidisciplinary team approach, we partner with law enforcement, child protective services, medical providers, prosecutors, and mental health professionals to strengthen investigations while protecting the well-being of the child. By bringing services together under one roof, we reduce re-victimization and ensure children do not have to tell their story over and over again.

Our mission is to reduce trauma for children who have experienced abuse and their families by providing a safe and supportive environment through collaborative partnerships with community agencies.

Originally established to serve children who experienced sexual abuse in Bradford County, The Children’s House has expanded to meet the growing needs of our region. Today, we provide comprehensive services to children affected by sexual abuse, physical abuse, commercial sexual exploitation, and those who have witnessed violent crime.

Services include forensic interviews, case coordination and tracking, family advocacy and victim support, medical examinations, and trauma-focused therapy, all provided at no cost to families. We also prioritize prevention through research-based education programs that equip children, caregivers, and community members with the tools to recognize and respond to abuse.

As an accredited Children’s Advocacy Center through the National Children’s Alliance, we uphold the highest standards of care and accountability. Every child who walks through our doors is met with dignity, professionalism, and hope.
