St John Lutheran Church

     St. John’s Lutheran Church, 106 W. Main St., Ringtown, PA is writing a new chapter in our ministry with and for the people of the Ringtown Valley.

     From our early beginnings in a log cabin, to the Old White Church historical landmark in the Ringtown Valley, to the first wooden church built on our present location which was replaced by the current brick structure; we will (in the near future) build a new contemporary church which will be more energy efficient and handicapped accessible so our challenged members will once again be able to participate in worship, events, and activities. Although we have many emotional ties to the current, more ornate sanctuary; we follow our ancestors in looking forward to a new structure that will provide many new possibilities for future ministry and mission within Ringtown as we continue to be one of the hubs, a gathering place for ecumenical worship services, Vacation Bible School, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, weddings, and other community events and social opportunities. We look forward to once again being able to enjoy our beloved and newly restored Garden of Gethsemane stained glass altar window which will beautify our chancel area and we also plan to use the altar, pulpit, stained glass medallions, and some other items and furnishings from the existing church. 

      Our members have been hard at work pledging and fundraising toward this goal and have raised 95% of our funding. We are participating in the 2026 NEPA Gives event to raise funds toward the last 5% (approx. $150,000) which would allow us to move forward without an additional loan.
