Schuylkill Keep It Pretty's mission: strives to build a sustainable future by cleaning up litter, educating communities about responsible waste management, and fostering a sense of environmental stewardship.

Schuylkill Keep It Pretty (SKIP) manages Schuylkill County-wide cleanups, assists with county recycling events, teaches environmental education to Schuylkill County’s youth and communities, and implements statewide programs (like Adopt a Highway and Keep PA Beautiful initiatives).

SKIP’s goal is to clean up litter and educate communities on solid waste management, recycling, and waste reduction to create a better Schuylkill County in which to live and work.  Our current objectives include:

* Environmental Impact: Remove and properly dispose of 2 tons of litter annually.

* Community Engagement: Organize 2 clean-up events per year, involving 100 volunteers.

* Education and Advocacy: Develop and implement at least one educational program on waste reduction, recycling, and environmental stewardship.

SKIP is a cooperative effort between the SKIP Board of Directors, the Schuylkill County Board of Commissioners, the Schuylkill County Solid Waste & Recycling Coordinator’s Office and the people of Schuylkill County.
