At Goodwill Industries of NEPA, we help individuals with disabilities or other barriers enhance their lives. We transform revenue from our retail locations and help individuals by providing education, career training, job placement, socialization, re-entry assistance and more. If you're looking for the brightest smile in the room, you'll find it with Brian C. A participant in Goodwill's Small Group Employment program, he is extremely hard-working, helpful, and easy-going. Brian is known for wearing funny t-shirts and even makes sure you read them for a good laugh!

With a background in janitorial and food services, Brian joined Goodwill for a more flexible and supportive pace. He works with Goodwill for three days a week where he meticulously organizes donated clothing and hard goods with help from a job coach and keeps a spotless environment by sweeping, mopping, and cleaning. 

With his can-do attitude and smile that never fades, Brian is a shining example of how the right support and environment can put you on the path to success. 

Anthony attends Goodwill's Community Participation Supports (CPS) program at our Mission Services Center. The program offers purposeful and meaningful activities designed to help individuals gain daily life skills and independence in daily life.

Anthony has made great progress while attending CPS. He has made new friends, increased daily living skills activities, and gained confidence. Some of his favorite activities are the community outings which are crucial for meaningful, regular inclusion in community life. Anthony especially enjoys taking trips to the park where he rides the swings. It's in the outings that the success of Goodwill's efforts is the most evident: providing opportunities for individuals to live richer, fuller, and more independent lives. We're proud to walk alongside of Anthony and countless others on their journey toward greater independence.

For more than 10 years, Natalie has been a housekeeper with Service Management Systems as the Viewmont Mall as part of Goodwill's Employment Services program. With a strong work ethic and a heart for teamwork, she jumps right into her duties and goes above and beyond, training new hires and setting up carts for her coworkers to ensure their success.

Known and appreciated by store staff and mall patrons alike, Natalie's commitment and leadership make her an invaluable part of the team, and her decade of service is a shining example of her reliability and pride in her work. 

At Goodwill, we believe everyone deserves a chance at meaningful employment, and Natalie serves an inspiration for all. 

Back in September, Cody S. took a bold step forward by joining Goodwill's First Step Act Initiative and hasn't looked back since! He jumped into Smith and Solomon's eight-week CDL training program, determined to earn his license and start a new chapter with Superior Sealcoating and Paving. 

What stands out most about Cody is his attitude. He shows up ready to work, stays focused on his goals, and treats everyone with respect. He's positive, motivated, and honestly just a joy to be around. 

The First Step Act Initiative awarded federal grant funding through the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry to Pennsylvania Goodwills across the commonwealth. The ReSTART Statewide Reentry Program helps participants restore confidence and financial independence, successfully transition back into their communities, and positively contribute to Pennsylvania's workforce.

Goodwill Industries of Northeastern Pennsylvania is a private non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that serves (11) eleven counties in Northeastern Pennsylvania including Bradford, Carbon, Columbia, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Wayne, and Wyoming.

Our Agency provides services to adults, children, and seniors who have barriers in life. All programs are run under the direction of very caring and compassionate full and part-time staff. We have numerous services that are unique to the area and are specifically designed and developed to meet the direct needs and wants of our clients and their families. We are a progressive organization that strives to help and improve the communities of Northeastern Pennsylvania.
