Dark Skies Search Dogs

Dark Skies Search Dogs is a nonprofit, volunteer-based K9 Search & Rescue team dedicated to helping bring answers, hope, and closure to families and communities in times of crisis.

Our highly trained and certified K9 teams specialize in Trailing and Human Remains Detection (HRD), including land, water, and crime scene operations. We respond at the request of law enforcement, emergency management agencies, and other responsible authorities to assist with missing person searches, recovery efforts, and criminal investigations.

While our primary focus is serving communities throughout Pennsylvania, our team is prepared to travel wherever needed when agencies request our assistance. Every deployment, training exercise, certification, and piece of equipment is funded through donations, grants, and community support.

As a 100% volunteer organization, we never charge for our services. When a family is facing one of the most difficult moments of their lives, our mission is simple: provide professional K9 search resources when they are needed most—without creating a financial burden for those seeking help.
