NEPA Gives & My Junior League Journey

This year, I'm setting a fundraising goal of $300 for NEPA Gives, and I've assigned a special meaning to every $100.

$100 for Blaire – because she was literally born during a JLS meeting. While I was in the hospital delivering her, the League was meeting, and her birth made it into the meeting minutes! Since then, I don't think she's missed a League event. She's a future JLS president, and just maybe President of the USA!

$100 for Gwynnie – to show her that girls can be leaders. They can be loud, ambitious, determined, and confident. They can lead with class and grace while surrounding themselves with strong women who challenge them, support them, and help them grow. Blaire may become President of the country one day, but Gwynnie just may end up running the world.

$100 for Harry – to show him that a mom and wife can be supported by her husband while pursuing meaningful work, leadership, service, and friendships outside the home.

This year marks 15 years as an active member of the JLS, including the last two years serving as President, one of the greatest honors of my life. Through the League, I have found lifelong friendships, incredible mentors, opportunities to serve our community, and countless memories with my family along for the ride.

As I prepare to enter my Sustainer era, I would be honored if you would consider making a donation in celebration of not only my League journey, but my family's commitment to community service. And yes, that includes Ryan, who, like so many Junior League spouses and family members, has essentially earned honorary JLS status through years of volunteering, supporting events, moving auction baskets, and answering the call whenever needed.

Thank you for helping me celebrate 15 amazing years of leadership, service, friendship, and family with the Junior League of Scranton. Every dollar supports our mission and the impact our members continue to make throughout NEPA.
