Abby ❤️s AABR!

Abby was a breeder in an Amish puppy mill for five years before the heroes at AABR rescued her.  Five years of forced breeding, physical abuse and horrible living conditions was finally over.  We like to think that was the true first day of her life.  Once in AABR's hands, Abby received veterinary care, got spayed, and was showered with love to build her spirit and confidence.  AABR placed Abby in a foster home where she could start being trained and socialized until her forever home came along.  Lucky for us, that forever home was ours.  Because AABR volunteers fearlessly pull boxers out of awful situations, Abby at five years old for the first time was able to feel grass under her feet, sleep in a soft bed, run with her brother Dabo, play with toys, enjoy food and treats, walk in the sunshine, and feel the security of a loving home.  Today this sweet and sassy girl has been with us for five years and just celebrated her 10th birthday.  Without AABR, who knows what would have happened to her -- we don't like to think about that.  What we do love to think about is how much the work of AABR matters to boxers that otherwise would have no chance of any kind of life.  AABR is run by deeply committed volunteers who stop at nothing to help every boxer leave its past behind and find its forever family.  Please help however you can during this 24-hour fundraiser so that AABR can continue its mission of saving these beautiful souls.
