Help rescue more dogs like Rock

This is Rock. He's a 6-year-old boxer that was saved by the great people at Adopt A Boxer Rescue. Rock's story was a particularly cruel one. He was confiscated by law enforcement last summer in Louisiana. He was terribly neglected, living primarily outside in a cage most of the time and at only 37 lbs, badly emaciated. He was sent to a local shelter temporarily before the good people at AABR shipped him up to Long Island NY to be under their care. We first fostered Rock while he was working through some of his health issues, mainly being underweight and some bad allergies. Then later adopting him 2 months later. He is now 74 lbs. and doing well with his allergy meds. More importantly he's safe and happy again. This might be the first time (or at least first time in a long time) he's truly been loved on. Rock's been a great addition to our family so we're getting just as much out of the arrangement as he is. He's definitely a 'good boy'. 

The thought of his life before us breaks my heart and we are grateful to the care and dedication of AABR, because of you Rock found a safe, loving home where he will only know love from here on out. I'm blown away by the dedication that rescues like AABR possess. They hear of a dog in Texas, Louisiana or California and are willing to do whatever is needed to bring them in so they can find a good home for the dog. They even bring in dogs from overseas (Primarily Turkey). Basically, if they hear of a boxer (or boxer mix) that needs help, they spring into action and spend whatever it takes to rescue the dog. 

As you can imagine, all of this costs a lot. Between transportation, food, kennel and vet bills etc., it is incredibly expensive to make all of this happen. Please consider making a donation to this great organization as it's truly a great cause.
