Spring Hills Foundation

A nonprofit organization

Mission:
Spring Hills Foundation connects people to the land through arts, environmental education, sustainable agriculture, and community experiences at Spring Hills Farm. Rooted in the belief that creativity, nature, and stewardship are deeply interconnected, we create programs that inspire curiosity, wellbeing, and meaningful connection across generations.

Our Story:

For decades, Spring Hills Farm has welcomed children, families, artists, educators, and community groups to experience hands-on learning and deeper connection with the natural world through programs like Earth Art Explorers, Sensory Scouts, maple sugaring tours, nature workshops, artist retreats, and intergenerational arts programming.

We invite people of all ages, abilities, and life circumstances — including individuals with special needs, adults in recovery, and others seeking restorative experiences in nature — into meaningful opportunities for creativity, reflection, and connection.

Time spent in the natural environment can restore

NEPA Gives Campaign / Education Center Fundraiser:

This year, Spring Hills Foundation is fundraising for the creation of our new Education Center “Art Barn” — a four-season hub for arts, environmental education, sustainable agriculture, and community connection.

Located within our working farm and surrounded by woods, wetlands, and fields, the Education Center will transform an existing farm building into a flexible classroom and artist studio space featuring:

• A multi-purpose educational workshop space
• Artist studios for creative residencies and workshops
• Improved accessibility and restroom facilities
• Energy-efficient heating and cooling systems
• Gathering spaces that foster reflection, collaboration, and connection to the land

As demand for our programs continues to grow, so does the need for a dedicated indoor learning space that can support year-round programming in all seasons and weather conditions.

NEPA Gives support will help us begin construction, purchase materials, and move this long-envisioned community learning space from concept to reality.

By supporting this initiative, donors are helping create a lasting resource for Northeastern Pennsylvania — a place where art, nature, agriculture, and community come together to inspire learning, creativity, stewardship, and belonging for generations to come.
