Bethany Children’s House Montessori Preschool in Honesdale, PA - Enriching young minds since 1981!

For more than four decades, Bethany Children’s House (BCH) has been part of this community’s story. Some of our current students now have parents — and even grandparents — who once attended BCH themselves. That lasting connection is a beautiful reminder of the impact our Montessori school has had across generations of local families.

Founded in 1981, BCH is a nonprofit Montessori preschool rooted in community support. Every donation made to BCH goes directly back into our school, supporting students, teachers, classroom materials, and enriching educational programs for children and families in our area.

Located beside Honesdale’s Central Park, our students enjoy learning and growing both inside and outside the classroom. Many afternoons, you’ll find BCH children playing together in the park, building friendships and memories in the heart of our community.

At BCH, we remain grounded in the philosophies of Maria Montessori and committed to educating the whole child through curiosity, exploration, peaceful communication, and a lifelong love of learning.
